The Central Lady Indians participated in the Rusty Hodge Invitational & Blue Springs Soth on Friday March 31st. Senior hurdler Peyton Moore opened her 2017 campaign with a 2nd place finish in the 100 Hurdles. Sophomore Mackenzie Miller placed 4th in highly contested 3200 field with a good early season time of 11:44.69. Sophomore Jessica Wegenka finished 6th in the long Jump with a leap of 16â5.25. The 4 x 800 consisting of team members Gwen Bachman, Mariah Smith, Freshmen Victoria Orton, and Mackenzie Miller placed 4th with a respectable early season time 0f 10:15.94. The lady Indians are young and and will need to rely on few veterans for leadership as they get more experience as the year goes on. The next meet will be April 7th at the Jerry Crews Invitational & Staley High School.
