Meet Recap

The magic number was 4 for this meet. Place 4th or better and your season continues. The Central Boys fared well when it came to moving on. Jordan Garr placed 1st in the shot put and 3rd in the discus. Cade Musser made a statement to the rest of the state when he ran a personal best 49.7 in the 400 placing first. He anchored the 4×400 to a 4th place finish along with teammates Tucker Dahle,Boston Small, and Scott Hansen. Cade also placed 1st in the long jump with a leap of 21-6. Boston Small came from third to 1st in a fantastic finish in the 800. Boston Small & Tucker Dahle worked together to finish 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 1600. Scott Hansen came from back in the pack to snag 4th place and qualify for next week in the 400. Josh Clarendon finished 4th place and qualified for next week as well in a photo finish in the 300 Hurdles. The 4×800 placed 3rd and also qualified to move on. Team members for the 4×800 were Small, Dahle, Jacob Bahr, and Freshmen Jose Perez. Central moves on to sectionals with more qualifiers than they have had in years. The magic number will continue 4th or better and the State Championships awaits. Best of Luck Boys…..
