Indians News · INDIANS PROMOTE SHAFFER TO LEAD GIRLS SOCCER PROGAM


St. Joseph, MO – Central High School has promoted Christi Shaffer to be the head coach of the Central Girls Soccer program.   Coach Shaffer served as the Assistant Coach for the Lady Indians.

Christi attended Central where she was a member of the first Lady Indians squad in program history.  She lettered Varsity all four years and earned All-City (4-yrs) and All-Conference recognition.  The past year Shaffer has served as the Assistant Girls and Boys soccer coach.   Prior to joining the Central staff, Christi coached a girls competitive club team for 7 years and was an assistant at LeBlond for 4 years.

“We are excited to elevate Christi to lead our program.  Coach Shaffer will give us the leadership and stability we are looking to bring to the girls program.” stated Athletic Director Dave Lau.

“My years as an assistant high school coach and club coach have prepared me for this opportunity ” Shaffer said.  “I am ready to use that experience and knowledge to lead this program.  I am excited to play a new role and eager to get started.”
