The Central girls’ golf team competed today in the District Tournament at Paradise Pointe – The Outlaw in Smithville. It was a tough competition in tough weather conditions as the Indians competed against 11 other schools. Freshman Ali Perry and sophomore Ava Gaddie both finished with scores low enough to qualify them for the State Tournament. Perry shot an 86 on the par 72 course to tie for 6th place overall; Gaddie shot a 100 to tie for 17th. Both girls will be headed to southeastern Missouri to compete in the two-day, 36-hole State Tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Senior Olivia Horn also competed today scoring a 106, along with senior Emmy Thrasher 121, and junior Emma Riley 126. Pictured below from left to right: Ava Gaddie, Emma Riley, Ali Perry, Olivia Horn, Emmy Thrasher. Bottom photo: Ava Gaddie (L) and Ali Perry (R).
