Boys Varsity Swimming · CENTRAL SWIM SENDS ELITE EIGHT TO STATE


St. Joseph, MO – The Central Boys Swim team is sending eight swimmers to the MSHSAA State Championships in St. Louis on Friday/Saturday, November 13-14.  Central is led by Junior Adam Honson who will compete in four events at the State meet.  He will join teammates Josh Connally (junior), Adam Klassen (sophomore), Jack Cornelius (sophomore) and Chase Meyer (junior) as part of three relay teams.   Honson qualified 13th in the 100 Butterfly after setting a new school record of 54.77 on October 22nd.  He later broke his own school record on November 2, finishing in 53.99!   Central qualified in the 200 Medley Relay (24th), 200 Free Relay (23rd) and 400 Free Relay (20th).   Alternates, Matthew Byrd (sophomore), Miles Kimmel (junior) and Trevor Martin (sophomore) will be ready to step in for the Indians.

CENTRAL STATE QUALIFIERS:

  • 200 Medley Relay  (Josh Connally, Adam Klassen, Adam Honson, Jack Cornelius)
  • Adam Honson 100 Butterfly
  • 200 Free Relay (Chase Meyer, Jack Cornelius, Josh Connally, Adam Honson)
  • 400 Free Relay (Josh Connally, Jack Cornelius, Chase Meyer, Adam Honson)
  • Alternates: Matthew Byrd, Miles Kimmel, Trevor Martin
