Central took the lead late and defeated Lee’s Summit 3-1 on Wednesday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Central pitchers struck out six.
Central knotted the game up at one in the top of the fourth inning. Parker Berry drove in one when he singled.
Berry earned the win for Central. He allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out four. Mason Carr threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Carr recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Central.
Alex Caudill led Central with two hits in four at bats.
