Central fell to Liberty 6-5 on Wednesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at five with Liberty batting in the bottom of the seventh when Chayton Beck hit a solo homer.
Central knotted the game up at five in the top of the sixth inning, when Zach Hanlan drew a walk, scoring one run.
Central notched three runs in the third inning. Central big bats were led by Hanlan and Mason Carr, who all drove in runs.
Alex Caudill was on the hill for Central. He went five innings, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out three. Carr threw one inning in relief.
Central smacked one home run on the day. Hanlan went for the long ball in the third inning.
Skylar Kanacsky and Payton Smith each managed multiple hits for Central.
